Make Haste, Slowly

A student-curated exhibition by MA Art in the Contemporary World students at NCAD, part of Common Denominator: Art in the Contemporary World, a two-year Bauhaus centenary programme. The exhibition featured workshops, events, and performances at the Goethe Institut Dublin Return Gallery.

How Long Is a Line. This installation creates a live video connection between the gallery space at the Goethe Institut and a pub on Thomas Street, Dublin. Viewers in the gallery encounter a framed mirror through which a camera transmits a real-time feed to the pub, and vice versa — collapsing the distance between two distinct social spaces and placing gallery visitors as unwitting subjects of a live artwork playing out in an entirely different context.
