Quantum Leap

Foundation 15 Arts Festival in association with the IMMA National Programme.

The Viewer Is Present. This installation creates a real-time connection from IMMA to the Quantum Leap exhibition at the Foundation 15 Arts Festival in Tullamore, where ten pieces from IMMA’s permanent Collection are being exhibited.

At the top of a stairwell in the gallery in Tullamore, viewers encounter a framed mirror, captioned with the question: ‘What are you looking at?’ Through a camera placed behind the mirror, spectators are viewed engaging spatial and temporal connection between the two gallery spaces is facilitated, placing the viewer as a spectator of art and in turn an unconscious subject of a remote artwork.
